On behalf of the entire school, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you for attending our Open Night. It was a truly wonderful opportunity to connect with so many of you and share our excitement for the upcoming school year and the exciting plans we have in store.Â
Your active participation and insightful questions made the evening a valuable and memorable experience for everyone. We hope you found it informative and left with a clearer understanding of our school's mission and the excellent opportunities available for your children.Â
We look forward to continuing this journey with you and supporting your children throughout the year. Some upcoming dates. As ever our doors are always open, in addition look out for scheduling later in the year for Teacher Parent conferences on the 6th & 7th November.

OUR SCHOOL ROUTINE
School doors for entry open no earlier than
7.40AM. School ends every day at 2.30pm. except
on Thursdays. (1.30PM)
Our Pre-K, Kinder & First Students (unless they
are 7 years old) must have a one-to-one handoff
arrangement with parents or bus at dismissal.
Please don't ask your students to walk to the Kiss
and Ride unescorted or with an older sibling at SES.
ATTENTION
Students MUST be signed in if arriving late.
Please do not leave your car unattended if
you are using the pick/up drop off lane.
Tickets will be issued.
Exciting Things Happening at SES!!!
Our own Superhero
We would like to thank the SES families and members of the Stuttgart Community for their generous donations that enable us to purchase a buddy bench in memory of our own Superhero teacher, Ms. Barbra Poe.
In June of this year, the Stuttgart Elementary School staff dedicated a buddy bench on the SES playground, in memory of Ms. Barb Poe. Ms. Poe was a teacher in the Stuttgart community for 18 years, prior to her death on October 17, 2024. Ms. Poe’s classroom theme for many years was Super Hero’s.
A buddy bench is a designated seat in school playgrounds where children can sit if they feel lonely or need someone to play with. It serves as a signal to other children that they are looking for someone to play with, promoting awareness, and helping to prevent bullying. The concept aims to combat loneliness and foster friendships among children.
Mrs. Cain, a parent of two children who were in Ms. Poe’s class, wrote the following:
We had to stop by during Open House to start the new year, with a sit on our favorite bench! To say Ms Poe left a lasting impression is not enough! Her legacy of encouragement and bolstering my girls' self-esteem, self-confidence, and sense of belonging in this Griffin Community is everlasting! My girls have such a sense of pride and familial connection thanks to the strong foundation we were blessed to establish as a member of Poe's Superhero Family. The bench has real effect!  BOTH my girls said they've taken a little breather there to invite new playmates or reminisce about a teacher we so fondly miss.Â

What an amazing resource!
What's MackinVIA? It's our digital resource management system that provides students and educators with a single point of access to a school's collection of eBooks, audiobooks, databases, and other online resources through one username and password.
Well its here !!! You can now access it on your mobile devices. Theres an APP for that.

Jog-a-thon Update:Â We are halfway to our goal! Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraiser so far. All students earned pajama day this week for hitting the first fundraising milestone but we still have 2 milestones to go. We are less than one week away from the big event and we still need your support! Â
