On Tuesday we opened our doors to our youngest students, PRE-K. It's going to be wonderful seeing the bright and shining faces walking through our halls. What can you expect from the Universal Prekindergarten Program?

OUR SCHOOL ROUTINE
School doors for entry open no earlier than
7.40AM. School ends every day at 2.30pm. except
on Thursdays. (1.30PM)
Our Pre-K, Kinder & First Students (unless they
are 7 years old) must have a one-to-one handoff
arrangement with parents or bus at dismissal.
Please don't ask your students to walk to the Kiss
and Ride unescorted or with an older sibling at SES.
ATTENTION
Students MUST be signed in if arriving late.
Please do not leave your car unattended if
you are using the pick/up drop off lane.
Tickets will be issued.

School Nurse Ms Sarah F. Denson RN, BSN
For those of you that have not met Ms Denson, we'd like to introduce you to our new school nurse.
Ms Denson is filled with enthusiasm to be here and comes to us with a wealth of experience. A little background to share, she is a mom of 3 school aged children, her husband is active-duty military, and they have lived here in Germany for about a year1 year.
Ms Denson has been a nurse for 8 years and her background is in the Emergency Room and Otho, Neuro, trauma. Prior to becoming a nurse, she was in the Army for 8 years.
When asked about her new position "I'm honored for the opportunity to serve you are your children and to be a member of the wonderful team here at SES"

Exciting Things Happening at SES!!!
Fun in the SUN
We've been lucky enough to have wonderful weather for the start of the school year, and the students have really been making the most of it! Recess is vital in elementary school providing essential physical activity. This structured break from the classroom allows students to relieve stress, engage in unstructured play, build crucial communication and problem-solving skills, and return to class more focused and productive. Whether they are on the playground, making up games, doing sports, they are having a blast.

STOCK THE FRIDGE
Stocking the school staff fridge with snacks and drinks is one of the ways we can show our appreciation for everything the faculty and staff do at SES. We hope to provide welcome treats for those busy periods, like the first month of back-to-school. This small gesture can re-energize staff, foster a sense of community, and demonstrate that their hard work is valued by students, parents, and the wider school community.
SES PTA is asking you for small donations towards making the staff lounge a welcoming area for a pleasant break. If you wish to donate please look at the sign up below, and make a commitment. Your help is very much appreciated.
Snacks and drinks can be dropped off next week, there will be a table/box provided at the school for donations. Please feel free to drop them off yourselves, send them in with your student or bring them to open house on Sept. 11th.
