This month (can you believe it's May!) on 30th May we will be celebrating all of our students during an award ceremony.

Elementary school awards are important because they celebrate achievements, promote positive learning habits, and build confidence and motivation in young students. They can also reinforce the value of hard work and encourage students to strive for excellence.

Celebrating their achievements with awards provides a formal way to recognize and celebrate students' progress in academics, creativity, character and other areas.

The prospect of receiving an award can be a powerful motivator for students to engage in class, complete schoolwork, and participate in activities, but most of all we want to recognize all of their hard work, and how special each child is.

As always we strive to create a positive and supportive school environment where students feel valued and encouraged.

We do know that is celebration is during the working day. However; if you are able to attend the award ceremony, we would love to see you there.

Month of the Military Child

Thank you to the Month of the Military Child Committee & Whitney Caspers !!

What an AMAZING display of military vehicles on show.

Due to their ruggedness, power, and military history the vehicles are so cool for the kids !!  They are designed for tough environments and often come with advanced technology and features that are not typically found in civilian vehicles. Additionally, the use of military vehicles in movies and media further contributes to their appeal.  Our kids got to see them up close and in person.

Thank you to all of the Military Staff that gave their time to show and explain all of the vehicles and equipment. It is very much appreciated.

The Power of a Clap-In

Our teachers, administrators, faculty members, school staff, and parents got to show the kids how proud they are of each of them. It’s was a  moment for all of the Elementary School Children to bask in the glory of being a military connected kid and to give a little extra encouragement for those who might be feeling nervous or scared at the thought of the up-coming PCS season.

It was an opportunity for all of our students to see what it means to be a Griffin.

Month of the Military Child Post Cards

In honor of the Month of the Military Child, students will be bringing home a special postcard this week, a small gift to help them connect with someone important in their lives.

If your child would like to send their postcard, simply have them drop the completed, addressed card in the Dandelion Express mailbox (inside the school entrance) by Friday, May 17.

The PTA will handle postage and mailing—no stamp needed!
