It won't be long until the end of the school year, but that doesn't stop us from striving for continuous improvement. We are excited to announce our new on-line version of the Griffin, replacing our current email version. Our new on-line version will provide an opportunity for deeper engagement, allow us to share more detailed stories, insights and news, and of course centralize information and reduce e-mails. The depth of content fosters a stronger connection between the school and our community. It's early days so please expect much to change , but we can't wait to see how it evolves. This week we'd like to give a special shout out to all of students. April is the Month of the Military Child, and SES and the SES PTA recognize and honor the unique challenges and resilience of military-connected children, ensuring they receive the support and understanding they need, both during and outside of this special month.
Our doors are always open to our community, we welcome your feedback.

Exciting Things Happening at SES!!!

3rd Grade Recycled Racers
Once a year our 3rd Grade classes do an amazing recycled car race steam project. What a way to learn!
Using nothing but recycled materials they design and build a vehicle that will transport a 'person' ... maybe a cuddly toy, or a figurine, but it has to be at least 8" tall, quickly, to a target distance, but most importantly safely.
After blueprints , reviews and build there's a grand race in the MPR room. Competition is fierce, but the fun in learning is wonderful.

MONTH OF THE MILITARY CHILD- PURPLE UP!!!!
All across the country and around the world, military children play a significant role in their schools, youth organizations, and communities.Â
When we wear purple in their honor, we let them know we support them in all branches of the military - Army, Navy, Marine, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Space Force, and all Organizations associated with the military & government.Â
Whether they are a part of the military family for a short while or their entire childhood, the military child deserves to know they have the support of their community.
Wear PURPLE every Wednesday in April
Purple UP!
